Supanova Comic Con & Gaming is a fan convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy film and TV, comic books, anime, gaming and collectables. It's held annually in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, and the Gold Coast. This TVC was created to promote the 2018 events.

As sound recordist on the TVC, I was tasked with capturing all the on set dialogue and action but also had to record the voice over with John Jarratt while on set. This type of request isn't usually an issue for your standard VO but this ad required a very specific sound to the voice; a deep, full, commanding voice, detached from any room sound or reality. Usually, this sound can only be achieved in a treated voice over studio, so I had to go about building as close to that as I could in the house we were shooting in.

Along with John's great performance I think we nailed it!
